| Neat. A little
bit gimmicky, but neat.
Bonecrusher:
This guy has one of the most interesting
transformations ever. In Vehicle Mode the two halves of the
body are swapped from in Robot Mode -- right down the
middle. The left side actually rotates 180 degrees from the
right. It's crazy, but it works. And when you turn him
into a Robot, it's really asymmetrical, but man, is it
clever. That gun arm is pretty unwieldy, though. 8
Knockout:
My favorite out of these three. His
missile is the only one that is spring-loaded, and he reminds me
of... something. Maybe the mini-spies. All of these
guys do. But they're bigger than mini-spies. All
Mini-Cons are actually rather sizeable. I'm impressed.
I expected them to be smaller, partially because I wasn't
expecting the Deluxe toys to be so big. But anyway, about
this guy -- he has a very Go-Bot transformation, but the way the
arms flip around when pulling them out of Vehicle Mode takes it
one step away from the typical transformation. 8
Wreckage:
Just like Spy
Streak or Longhorn, he
actually DOES have hands, they're just molded into his
weapons. However, so small an unobtrusive are these hands
that they might as well not be there at all. The typical Go-Bot.
The head, like most other Mini-Cons, doesn't even have a place to
hide. Maybe that's why I like the jets
so much. Their heads nicely disappear. 8
But, because these guys don't combine together,
I'm a little put off. Sure they look good covering Demolishor
or Megatron, but other than that?
They're neat little guys in their own right, still. |
