| Okay, these guys
finally explain what that strange exposed gear underneath Cyclonus
was for -- each of these Mini-Cons has a gear that locks into
place with Cyclonus so that when you turn the propellor with that
crazy trigger, Crumplezone (what an awful name that is!) will fire
his little turret, and the weapon on the Mini-Con underneath will
spin / fire as well. Of course, only one of these guys can
store undertneath at a time, but they all fit surprisingly well
and really help to flesh out the toy. Despite that, I still
think Cyclonus is a big dork. Other than that, their vehicle
forms, and even their names, remind me GREATLY of the Beast
Machines Deployers.
Seriously, there's almost a one-to-one correlation between
them. Each guy is a meager robot on his own, barely worth
mentioning individually barely.
Buzzsaw:
The yellow guy with the Buzzsaw. Honstly,
I think this is the FIRST Buzzsaw that actually has a buzzsaw on
him! His transformation is the most interesting out of his
bretheren, but I guess that really isn't saying much. He has
a very bulky look that I like, even if he doesn't have any
hands. 8
Drillbit:
I like him the least. He suffers from Trap
Jaw's "Wussy Little Girly Arm" Syndrome.
Transformation isn't very solid, but he looks the best underneath
Cyclonus, despite the bright orange color... or maybe because of
it. 4
Dualor:
Again, not too impressive on his own. I
have nothing nice to say about him except that I like him better
than Drillbit. 5
Honestly, their only claim to fame is that they
make Cyclonus look better, not that it's hard. But that
right there gives them a point or two I wouldn't give them
otherwise. But as far as Mini-Cons go you can probably pass
on these guys if you don't have Cyclonus. Then again, they
might look neat on Megatron. |
