Rumo(u)r Contents
This page was started long ago on a version of
this site so old that it nearly defies memory.
Yet, it is the only part of the site that has remained
intact all this time. And now I've butchered it
to conform to the styling of the rest of the site
(rumor numbers will remain unchanged for the
restructuring, and in the interest of posterity).
However, for it's time, this rumor page was my way of
making fun of all those dim bulbs out there who really
believed in some of these things, the nitwits who made
them up, and to just poke fun in general at the people
who made snap judgments about the show based on these
rumors without ever having seen the show. If you
weren't there, it was ridiculous. The attitudes
developed mere months before the show aired doomed it
to failure. Those who didn't stick around for Season
2 have no idea what they missed... This last
rumor will undoubtedly remain unanswered, simply
because it was a brilliant piece of speculation by
Machina, who used the idea in the Genome
Studios Dark Glass comic. It makes sense,
but cannot be proven unless someone
"canonizes" it in a future series. But
then Hasbro would have to pay Dave royalties...

27. The virus
Megatron used was Nucleon-based.
For those of you who don't know, Nucleon is the
substance that created the Action
Masters. It caused them to lose the
ability to transform in return for being more agile
and stronger. This happened to Grimlock in the
comics, but was never pursued in the actual
television show (and it probably would have been,
had there been a fourth and fifth season). As
it stands, this would be a nice way to tie in the
worst of the Transformers universe into... what some
call... the other worst of the Transformers
universe. Well, screw you, hippie. I
like Beast Machines. I give credit to Machina
for this one. He used it in his Dark Glass
comic (co-created with Legacy). The
"virus" derivative would most likely case
a Cybertronian to lose the ability to
transform. As far as de-evolving them,
though... well maybe it had a funny effect on those
strange TransMetal forms. At any rate, I
simply like the idea enough to state it here.
28. The series
finale of Beast Machines: The Lost Episodes will be
far better planned, conceived, and executed than the
actual Beast Machines finale.
Since I'm biased, I definitely think so, but I think
that Traegorn and I will let fan reaction decide
this one. Now none of you can claim that the
fans don't have a say... |
