Robots
In Disguise UPDATED Show Times
15.08.01 - TheOrange |
|
|
Remember how about a week ago we
said Robots in Disguise would air
weekdays at 2pm? Well, it
seems our pleas have been answered
somewhat. The new weekday slot
is 2:30pm. While not a drastic
change, this could make all the
difference for many viewers.
Showers of appreciation should be
directed to YakCentral,
which, admittedly, has nothing to do
with this change, but we thought you
might like to voice your praise or
concern there. That, and we're
utterly shameless.

Lost
Episodes Mega-Update!
12.08.01 - TheOrange |
|
|
If it isn't a sign that the end of
the world is coming, I don't know
what is. Three, yes, THREE
Lost Episodes are now ready for your
reading enjoyment!
First off is the closing chapter
of Act 4, in the form of Episode 17:
Geever and Crawley AREN'T
Dead. The two misplaced human
discover their station in life,
while at the same time decide to
fight for it!
Next comes the first part in a
two-part story, Episode 18: No Need
for Blackarachnia. Followed
closely by Episode 19: Battle for
the Manhole, Blackarachnia has to
sort out her love life, while Thrust
has to figure out what to DO with
life. And with that, the
season is already half over!
And if THAT weren't enough,
Episode 20 is coming in just a few
weeks!

Robots
In Disguise Show Times
07.08.01 - TheOrange |
|
|
It's official: Robots in Disguise
will air on Fox Kids, Monday through
Friday at 2 p.m., and Saturday
mornings at 8 a.m.
Needless, to say, I'm very
disappointed. I remember back
in the day when I used to watch
television (I still watch it now,
but sparingly), and my favorite
shows would come on in the hour
before school was out.
Anything that began airing at 2:00,
2:30, or 3:00 became simply
unwatchable because the earliest I
got out of school back in those days
was 3:15. Still other shows
might suffer from the same problems
if any such kids have to take
hour-long bus trips home from their
classes. I missed a lot of
episodes of Animaniacs and Batman
because of this sort of thing.
Is there anything to be done
about it? I've been assured
that there's nothing to worry about
regarding the show getting canceled
-- there's too much money behind
it. The real culprit here
comes in the form of the network
affiliates, who -- for some reason
or another -- demanded that the Fox
Kids programming block be pushed
forward to start at 2am. This
isn't a change that's making the
production teams happy, but it'll
suffice.
The other problem is that of
frequency. Even with 39
episodes, Robots in Disguise will
finish its run in six and a half
weeks if left to run
consecutively. This won't
happen -- production is occurring
apace, and the show will go into
reruns after the first couple of
weeks. It should be okay, but
what's the point if no one outside
of Kindergarten A.M. kids and
college students are able to watch
it? It's not a show aimed at
anyone older than 8. Odd, but
it should still be
entertaining. I think the
targeted demographic is horribly,
TERRIBLY skewed, but we shall see
what we shall see.
To bitch, head over to YakCentral
and make your voice heard.
More specifically, you can complain
in this
thread. Careful, I may
have to shoot down your arguments
with logic.
